Beaches & Night Fishing - Town of Huntington.
Huntington beaches are many, and they are found in and around the Northport, Centerport, Eatons Neck, Kings Park, Lloyd Harbor and Huntington areas. They are generally small and intimate, and open during summer months, from May to September. Many feature lifeguards during daylight hours. It is ideal for family picnicking and quiet on-the-water activities, such as sailing, kayaking and canoeing. Centerport Beach is 230-foot stretch of relaxing beach area. It is perfect for the beach goer who wants a spot to plant a chair, read a book, and watch children bring their daydreams to life building sandcastles. Crab Meadow Beach is another Northport beach that spans about 1,000 feet. It is characterized by a lot of sandbars that make it safe, enjoyable and interesting for people who love the beach but don’t necessarily spend a lot of time in the water. Crescent Beach has a distinct, rocky shoreline, so it is well-suited for water-skiers, canoers and kayakers. It is open during summer months only and is patrolled during daytime hours by trained lifeguards. It also features a picnic area and a playground, so it is appropriate for families.
